Taxi Mauricie is committed to protecting its customers' personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Under Law 25, the person with the highest authority within Taxi Mauricie acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information, and can be reached at contact@taximauricie.ca or 819 529-7529 for any question about this policy.
Information collected
- Identity and contact details: name, phone number, email (provided when booking)
- Ride data: pickup and destination addresses, location obtained via "My location" or "Pick on map" (with your browser's permission), requested date and time, number of passengers and luggage
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, preferred language
Purposes of collection
- Process, confirm, and carry out your bookings
- Calculate a fare for the ride
- Connect you with a driver and provide them the information necessary for the ride
- Contact you if needed (delay, change, confirmation)
- Respond to your requests and complaints
- Comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations
Sharing with third parties
Your personal information is only disclosed to third parties strictly necessary to provide the service:
- Google LLC (Google Maps API): address geocoding, route calculation, and map display
- Partner drivers: name, phone number, and ride addresses, strictly to the extent necessary to carry out the ride
- Competent authorities, only when required by law
No sale of data
Taxi Mauricie does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Transfers outside Quebec
Some of our providers (notably Google) may process information on servers located outside Quebec, including in the United States, as part of their standard services. These providers are bound by contractual commitments to protect personal information.
Retention
Your information is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, then for the additional period required for accounting, tax, or dispute-response purposes, before secure destruction or anonymization.
Security
Communications between your device and the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to personal information is limited to authorized Taxi Mauricie staff as required by their duties.
Cookies
The site uses a single functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your chosen language. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are placed on this site.
Your rights
Under the law, you have the right to access, correct, and, in certain cases, withdraw consent for or request the de-indexing of your personal information. You may exercise these rights by writing to contact@taximauricie.ca. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
Minors
The service is intended to be used by adults, including when a booking is made on behalf of a third party (an elderly relative, a child, a patient).
