Terms of Sale and Use

Last updated: August 20, 2026

These terms govern the booking and provision of Taxi Mauricie's transportation services, whether booked online, by phone, or through the app. Any booking implies unreserved acceptance of these terms.

1. Service description

Taxi Mauricie offers a taxi service available 24/7 across the Mauricie region (Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan, La Tuque, Louiseville and surrounding areas), for immediate or scheduled rides, with a choice of vehicles (sedan, van, premium) depending on the number of passengers and luggage.

2. Booking

A booking is formed as soon as the on-screen confirmation (and, where applicable, email confirmation) showing a ride reference is displayed. The customer agrees to provide accurate pickup and destination addresses as well as valid contact details (name, phone number).

3. Pricing

The applicable fare includes a pickup fee and a per-kilometre rate, increased during the night period (11 p.m. to 4:59 a.m.):

  • Day rate (5 a.m. to 10:59 p.m.): $4.10 pickup fee + $2.05/km
  • Night rate (11 p.m. to 4:59 a.m.): $4.70 pickup fee + $2.35/km

4. Estimate and final price

The price shown before confirming a booking is an estimate calculated from the fastest known route at the time of the request. The final amount may vary slightly if the route actually taken differs (detour, road closure, winter conditions). Prices are expressed in Canadian dollars (CAD); the treatment of applicable taxes (GST/QST) is specified to the customer before payment (to be confirmed by the operator).

5. Payment

Payment is made on board, directly with the driver, by card or cash. No credit card data is stored or accessed by Taxi Mauricie.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation is free up to 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. After that, an approach fee (equivalent to the pickup fee) may be charged to the customer.

7. Customer no-show

If the customer is not present at the pickup point within a reasonable time after the driver's arrival and an attempt to make contact, the ride may be cancelled by the driver and the approach fee charged.

8. Customer obligations

  • Provide an accurate pickup address and be present at the agreed time
  • Respect the maximum capacity of the booked vehicle (passengers and luggage)
  • Report any special needs (accessible vehicle, booster seat) at the time of booking
  • Behave respectfully toward the driver

9. Taxi Mauricie's obligations

Taxi Mauricie undertakes to provide a driver authorized to carry out remunerated passenger transport, along with a vehicle that is insured and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations.

10. Winter conditions and force majeure

Taxi Mauricie strives to maintain service in all weather conditions. The estimated arrival time may nonetheless increase during storms or hazardous road conditions; service may exceptionally be delayed or suspended for safety reasons or force majeure, without the company's liability being engaged on that basis.

11. Personal information

The processing of personal information provided when booking is described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Complaints and disputes

Any complaint must first be sent to contact@taximauricie.ca or 819 529-7529 to seek an amicable resolution. Failing an agreement, the customer retains the remedies provided under the Consumer Protection Act, including the right to bring proceedings before the court of their own domicile.

13. Changes to these terms

Taxi Mauricie may amend these terms at any time; the version applicable to a booking is the one in effect at the time of that booking.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
